Race Description

The 5K offers competitive and casual runners a great 3.1 mile race while also welcoming walkers and families with strollers on the relatively flat and scenic course. The 10K is a double loop with long straightaways, offering a fast course with stunning ocean views along Pequot Avenue.

Earn a high quality, Summer Stride technical short-sleeve shirt to wear proudly as a finisher. Then enjoy delicious and refreshing local ice cream from Michael’s Dairy to celebrate post-race.

NEW in 2023 – Take on the Crabby Challenge! Run either distance at the L+M Hospital Summer Stride in addition to any distance at the Mystic Half Marathon and 10K on May 21 and at the Surftown Half Marathon, Relay and 5K on September 10 to earn the special Crabby Challenge medal.
