Race Description

The ‘Two Halves Ten’ was a race hosted by Halifax Harriers during the 90’s that climbed 5 miles from Halifax Town Centre to Queensbury with a more welcoming 5 mile downhill run back to the finish. To celebrate and support the Grand Depart of the 2014 Tour de France in Yorkshire we’re re-launching this event but running it along one of the more challenging parts of the actual Tour de France course – Cragg Road. This stretch takes in the longest continuous gradient in England and makes for a perfect Two Halves Ten with an equal 5 mile climb followed by a fast 5 mile descent.
