Race Description

The Lacock 10km is the flatest and fastest race in the Relish Running Races 2012 series! An ideal race for the first time 10km runner, or those looking to record a fast time racing through the Wiltshire countryside.

The race starts in the presence of the stunning Lacock Abbey, heading out across river side fields. Runners need to cross the road in Reybridge, so please take care and listen to the marshals. In the first 1km there are a few stiles to negotiate as the course heads out to the newly refurbished Wiltshire and Berkshire canal.

Here you can pick up the pace along the flat canal tow path. There are great river side and canal side views as runenrs head to the turn around point on the approach to Chippenham, before the route retraces is steps back for a great sprint finish by the side of the Abbey.
