Race Description

The Knaresborough 10km trail race is part of the Knaresbough Fun Run day at King James’s School. The Fun Run attracts about 1,000 people over a 2.5 mile course and the trail, which was re-routed two years ago, about 120.

From the school playing fields the 10km route takes runners on mettled tracks parallel to the Nidd. Having crossed the road bridge, the trail enters a very scenic line through trees before eventually rejoining the Nidd. A very twisty river bank path takes runners back to the school with a short sharp shocker of a final hill climb.

The school fields are set out with stores to entertain relaxing runners and families.
