Keep on Ticking Fun Run
Sunday July 1st at 11am will see the start of the 20th annual 5k family fun run, Keep on Ticking. This is organised by Lancaster & Morecambe Athletics Club in collaboration with North Lancashire NHS and held near the Midland Hotel in Morecambe.
Because its aim is to encourage children and families to take exercise it is again supported by the NHS and also by the largest local running shop, The Runners Centre in King Street, Lancaster.
This race is aimed at families and teams as well as individual runners, and there are special categories for family entries (£10 or £12 on the day); corporate challenge teams (£10 for a team of four) and a Schools Challenge. Individual entries are only £2.50, with an extra 50p on the day.
There is also a staff – pupil challenge, a ‘Beat the teacher’ with prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed runners. For only £15 per school, there can be up to 20 runners and for 30 runners in a school the entry fee is £25. There will be medals and certificates for all finishers.
There is still time to pre-enter on-line using the buttons on this page or by requesting an entry form from Steve Perry, 10 Parkfield Drive, Lancaster LA1 4BU or email: steveperry10park@tiscali.co.uk

Hello, my son Ben ran the race on Sunday, he thinks he gave the wrong number at the finish and he has not appeared on the results, his number was 192, he thinks he said 129 at the finish. He came in at around 26minutes could you confirm his time please.

Well done for organising a good event by the way:)

Really enjoyed doing this as a first step back to running fitness. My 10 year old son trounced me, so did my 9 year old grandson but it felt great to be running again. Can’t wait to see out results.

This is a great race! I loved it. I ran with my school, Central Lancaster High School, and it was a great event. Well orginised. I’m 12 years old and i found it hard, its a compltly flat course but on the promanade so very very windy. Great for families everyone cheering you on and kids about 5 years old running it.
The one question i do have is when will the results be shown and how meny did the race. Thanks. 🙂
