Race Description

Annual USAT&F sanctioned race in memory of Marathon runner Jim Hegedus who we lost to a tragic auto accident in May of 2006. Jim was track team Captain at Steinert High School in Hamilton, NJ and went on to run for the University of Maine where he graduated with honors.
Shortly after College Jim Qualified for Boston but never made it because of his accident.
Proceeds help fund 2 Scholarships for runners at Steinert High School. 1 Male and 1 Female.
Also, a donation is given to the Mercer County Sunshine Foundation each year,
