Race Description

Multi terrain half marathon

Teams of 2

Sunday 18th November 2012

11 am start

Swallow Village Hall

A challenging multi-terrain half marathon race to be run in pairs over beautiful countryside on The Lincolnshire Wolds. Starting and finishing in the lovely village of Swallow, don’t be fooled by the lovely scenery, this race will test your fitness.

The village hall will be the setting to rest those weary legs in front of a roaring log fire, with your hot soup and bread roll provided by the organisers.

Every runner will receive a commemorative Beanie hat at the conclusion of the race, which will provide support to the local village hall and the ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’ charity.

The race is being organised by the small team from Tape2Tape, who earlier this year put on the popular North Lincolnshire Half marathon.

Run under UKA rulings, full medical back up will be in place on the well marshaled course.

There are only places for 100 teams of two runners, so get your entry in early.

Congratulations to the winning teams – Julian Moorhouse of Birchfield Harriers, running with Gavin Mann of Scunthorpe & District.

They were chased up by a further ten pairs of men, before the first women’s team crossed the line: Cheryl Oakshott of City Of Hull AC & Katie Dunn of City Of Hull AC!
