Race Description

The 34th Annual Franklin Classic is a 5K/10K run/walk that takes place in Historic Downtown Franklin, Tn. It is the longest running 10K in Middle Tennessee and provides excellent half marathon training for those who wish to run both the 5 and 10K, 9.3 miles total. Proceeds from the Franklin Classic benefit Mercy Children’s Clinic and is their largest fundraising event of the year. Mercy provides quality healthcare for ALL children regardless of ability to pay. While 30% of their patients are insured, 70% are either uninsured or on TennCare. To help cover the costs to see this last group of children Mercy must raise $1.5 million a year, half of their annual budget.
