Race Description

The Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon & Half Marathon is the ultimate South Florida running experience! The event makes for a ideal winter getaway to a beach themed run. The course boasts miles of unobstructed ocean views and features a fast and flat terrain, perfect for those looking to qualify for the Boston Marathon. Your run starts in downtown Fort Lauderdale and heads towards the beach via historic Las Olas Blvd, passing over the canals and the section of the city known as the “Venice of America”! Then it’s on to the beach! Runners will be greeted with a sunrise view of the ocean and head north along the water. The Marathon course features 23 miles of ocean views.

A signature beach themed finisher medal will be awaiting all of the Marathon and Half Marathon finishers! Our medals have garnered awards over the past 2 years by a panel of industry veterans. Our finish line beach party features loads of free food, drinks, beer and live music. Spectators are welcome, so bring the whole family!
