Race Description

The Forest Glen Preserve is a beautiful beech-maple and oak-hickory forested Nature Preserve. The race will coincide with peak fall foliage. The race is a fundraiser for the Vermilion County Conservation District Foundation and all registration fees go directly to the Foundation. The 5-mile course wanders along streams and the Vermilion River. The course is extremely challenging, covering approximately 2,000 feet altitude with each lap; resulting in 12,000 feet over the 6 lap race, making this the most challenging 50K race in the Midwest. Be sure that this will challenge the most hardy trail runner! This should not be your first 50K race and is not intended for beginning trail runners.
