Self-Transcendence 5K at Flushing Meadows Corona Park

PARK FUNDRAISER: All proceeds go to the benefit of Flushing Meadows Corona Park

Saturday, November 17th, 2012 – 10 AM

THE EVENT: It is our pleasure to offer the second annual Self-Transcendence 5K at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, November 17th, 2012.

Both runners and walkers warmly welcome. The race is organized on behalf of the Park by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team, in appreciation for decades of support.

The 5K will be followed by a short fun-run for kids 13 years old and under. Registration for this event will be on race-day only and will cost $3. Each child will receive a small prize.

•Entry fee: $20 before Nov 15th, $25 race day
•Free race t-shirt for participants who register by October 31st
•Medals for top 3 finishers in each age category
•Trophies to top seven finishers overall
•Aid stations
•Kids fun-run following 5K race
•Beautiful and historic race setting
•Award Ceremony at 10:45 AM
