Race Description

The route is a single loop course, starting and ending in Evesham. The first ten miles of the ultra course is fairly flat, taking runners along the River Avon and along the trails towards Elmley Castle, at the foot of Bredon Hill. From Bredon Hill, you will head to Winchcombe, with gentle diversions to Dumbleton and up the evilly long Langley Hill. At Winchcombe, if you’re doing the relay, it’s time to hand over and enjoy a well-earned rest. From Winchcombe, the route heads out toward the Guitings, before turning back for a few hilly miles towards Broadway, allowing some nice rolling hills as you approach Broadway Tower Country Park. From the tower you will head for Evesham and enjoy one of our favourite descents in the area. The final couple of miles are on road, including some small rollers and one last sharp hill up from the river to the finish in the town centre.
