ARCHIVED RACE: Craze Ultra Challenge @ MacRitchie Reservoir, Singapore on 20 September 2014

Now in her 3rd year, the Craze Ultra 100 Miles is Southeast Asia’s longest single-stage ultra-marathon to date.

Enduring the soaring temperature of 35 degrees Celsius during mid-day, runners from the 4 different distance categories (161-km, 101-km, 78-km & 43-km) will start at 7am from MacRitchie Reservoir and trotter along a scenic 80.5km route. Moving up Mandai & Sembawang Road, they will be brought to uncharted territories of Woodlands Waterfront Park that offers a panoramic view of the Straits of Johor and Punggol Promenade which is part of the rustic north eastern coastline. The journey then continues towards Lorong Halus Wetland where you might just be lucky enough to spot the white-throated Kingfisher or the Olive-backed Sunbird. Leaving the Wetland, runners will make their way to Pasir Ris before making a U-turn at Changi Beach Park, one of the oldest coastal parks in Singapore, to head back to Macritchie Reservoir.

Eight support/aid stations offering a variety of fruits, sandwiches, chips & drinks will be located along the route for runners to refuel & rehydrate themselves. After the run, don’t forget to dip your tired legs in a well-deserved ice-bathe at our Recovery Corner. With a generous cut-off time of 32 hours, finishers of the 100-miles and 101-km categories will be awarded with a special gift besides the usual medal and tee-shirt.
