Race Description

The Chelmsford Marathon is a 26.2 mile single lap course on road and tarmac paths starting in the city centre and finishing in Central Park. A scenic rural route which heads out through the city and then undulates through the nearby countryside and pretty villages of north Essex. The race has a stunning finish line, down an avenue of autumn trees in Central Park. Alongside this popular event there will also be the brand new ‘Chelmsford Marathon Half’ offering runners a shorter distance but the chance to still be part of this exciting event.

The race draws a large crowd, with many supporters and friendly marshals on the route to cheer you on. The race is rated highly among runners and comes highly recommended – It’s definitely one to add to your 2021 race diaries.
