Race Description

Avalon, California | Saturday, March 14 | 10K, 5K, Kids Run

The 2025 Catalina Island Marathon will be celebrating its 48th annual event, making it the oldest trail marathon in California. While the marathon distance is already sold out, the race offers alternative distances that still provide a one-of-a-kind tour of Catalina Island. The 10K and 5K courses both start and finish in Avalon, and take participants on a journey through historic areas and scenic viewpoints on the island. The event also offers a Kids Run, making it an event fit for the whole family!

Benefiting the Community
This year’s event benefits the Catalina Island Conservancy and Avalon Lions Club, which supports numerous local causes and non-profit organizations. Each year, the Avalon Lions guarantee a scholarship to all graduating students from Avalon High School who wish to continue their education.
