Race Description

In 2018 you will be able to both Seize the Day and Seize the Night with our two races in one day at Highland State Recreation Area! You can choose from the morning 5 miler or Half Marathon and the evening 5 miler or Half Marathon. We will have a “Day Medal” and a “Night Medal” that connect together to create one big Yin and Yang Medal (much like the race logo). We will have normal awards for both races, but we will also have awards for combined times if you do both half marathons!

The night race will start 45 minutes before sun down. That means you will get a lot of the race out of the way before the sun goes down. Make sure you have your flashlight and/or headlamp. Once the sun goes down you will use your light to navigate our superbly marked trails (no one is getting lost on our course!)
