The Borneo WildLife Marathon is an exciting 50K run encompassed on a 7 day adventure that starts in Palangkaraya in Central Borneo, Indonesia. Runners will take the Sei Gohong Orangutan tour to the beautiful Kaja Island, Bapallas Island and Palangka Raya. They will get to taste exotic cuisine and learn about the local culture. The purpose of the Borneo WildLife Marathon is to help to support the rehabilitation efforts of the local Orangutan.Orangutan are one of the slowest reproducing species in the animal world, which are highly prone to extinction. Therefore, if humans do not take action to help protect Orangutans from poachers, to care for the orphaned and injured Orangutans, we might lose them in our lifetime. There is nothing more exciting than to do something that is rewarding in more ways than one.
