Description:
The Border War 5K Run/Walk is a friendly battle between Illinois and Wisconsin Runners/Walkers to see which state has the best average 5K time for runners and walkers. Besides individual awards, the times of all the athletes will be averaged to find our winner – between Wisconsin and Illinois – giving the state bragging rights.

This finish-line banner will display the winning state each year and be present at all of the future Border War 5K races, beckoning its adversaries to reverse the winning streak each year.

Parking: Street parking is available around the event.

Awards info:
All participants will receive a custom finisher’s medal. Age group winners will be recognized with a recognition pin.
The Overall State Time will be determined by combining all finishers from that state and averaging their times. Every participant’s time is included in creating this Overall Time.
