Race Description

The Black Squirrel Half Marathon takes place on the wonderful trails of Lory State Park to the northwest of Fort Collins, CO. The course covers a variety of terrain – mostly single track trail with a few miles of dirt road and approximately 2,000ft of vertical gain. The single loop around the perimeter of Lory State Park provides breathtaking views of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins and the Great Plains to the East; and the awe-inspiring Rocky Mountain swell to the West.
