Race Description

The annual Black Cat Chase is the largest 5k in Frankfort, Kentucky and is one of the only evening races in the Bluegrass area. This night race draws a particularly large crowd due to its festive, fun environment complete with the dancing black cat, music, costumes, and a scenic run between the old and new State Capitol buildings. The race is perfect for families and includes a variety of ages and abilites. It truly is a run for everyone! All funds raised from the race goes towards the Frankfort YMCA Annual Giving Campaign so that no one is turned away from membership or programs due to an inability to pay.
