Race Description

The Vale of Belvoir Lions are very proud to announce the ‘Belvoir Castle Fun Run’, to be held on 3rd September 2011 starting at 10:00am. This is a unique opportunity to run or walk a choice of a 10km circuit or a short more leisurely 5km circuit.

The event is held with the kind permission of The Duke and Duchess of Rutland, around the private grounds of the Belvoir Castle Estate. In return we will be raising funds for the Duke and Duchess’s chosen charities, the RNLI and Help for Heroes, along with other local charities.
The race takes place on mainly tarmac roads within the grounds of the Belvoir Castle Estate.

Entry fee: £10.00 adult £5.00 for child under 16. Family of 2+2 £25.00. Same price for either 10km or 5km circuit. We are also allowing spectators into the grounds on the day, these will be charged at £3.00 per adult and £1.00 for under 16. Please note there will be allocated viewing areas for spectators.

Please book early to avoid disappointment.

The course is accurately measured (including kilometre markers), with a drinks station halfway, marshalling and professional first aid facilities.

There is ample car parking at the Belvoir Castle visitor car park, and there will be on-site marshalling.
