ARCHIVED RACE: Barns Green Half Marathon @ Barns Green, Horsham, West Sussex, United Kingdom on 27 September 2015

The Barns Green Half Marathon, near Horsham, West Sussex, is run on traffic free closed roads through the beautiful Sussex countryside, passing through the historic Christ’s Hospital school. Live Music, Food, Entertainment, Funfair at the start/finish. Along the route there are water stations, distance markers, marshals and of course the support of all the locals and spectators. We provide a medal and goody bag for each finisher, secure baggage storage and free parking.

Prizes

New for this year a £250 prize for beating the women’s course record of 1 hour 17 minutes and 42 seconds. This is also a £250 cash prize for beating the present men’s course record of 1 hour, 4 minutes and 28 seconds. Prizes are awarded to the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th open male and female and also 1st and 2nd male and female in the veteran 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69 and 70+ categories. There is also a prize for male and female club teams, 3 to score, based on cumulative time.

All proceeds from the race are donated back to charities and the local community.

This is the 32nd year that the race has been held and is recognised for being extremely well organised by runners and the media.
