The Chicago Marathon attracts 45,000 runners and over a 1.7 million visitors to the city every year. 12,000 volunteers help to organise the race which is kept safe by 900 medical personnel. 100,000 gallons of fluid will keep the participants hydrated while 100 pace setters from the Nike team will lead the front.
