Race Description

CancerCare’s annual 5k Walk/Run for Hope is scheduled for Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Bergen Community College, Paramus, NJ and on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the North Pavilion, Long Branch, NJ. The success of this event is credited largely to our sponsors, who lend their names and financial support to the event. I am writing to request support for Walk/Run for Hope 2012. In 2011, more than 1,000 walkers and runners from throughout the state participated in the event and raised funds to support our free professional services. We are confident that the number will grow significantly this year.

Last year, CancerCare provided its free professional services to adults, children, and families in New Jersey and over 110,000 nationwide. It is the oldest and largest non-profit dedicated to providing free professional support services and financial assistance to anyone affected by cancer. The organization is funded solely by private organizations, foundations, and individuals.
