ARCHIVED RACE: 4 Hour Navigation Based Trail Run & MTB Event @ The Tilford Institute, Tilford Road, Tilford, Farnham, Surrey, United Kingdom on 14 October 2018

4 hour Run and MTB Event £40, £45 OTD – 4 hours, using a 1:25k waterproof map, plan your route and navigate to as many checkpoints as possible within the time. Starting on foot, there will be one transition to Mountain Bikes. Enter more than 2 weeks before and pay £35.
The nature of Adventure Racing is that anyone of any age and fitness can take part, from the very beginner to the ultra racer. You plan and run your own race, although there are prizes for the ones who collect the most points in each category.
You plan your own strategy and route, deciding how many CPs you want to visit and in what order. You will lose 1 point for each 30s you are late coming back. All checkpoints are worth 10 points each. Distance covered depends on how many checkpoints are visited. This can be anything from 20km to around 40+km, and depends entirely on your level of fitness, as well as your running/MTB and map reading skills. Minimum age to take part is 16.
Registration opens at 8.30am to give competitors time to collect their maps and to plan their strategy and routes. We also offer a flexible start time for those who want to get off earlier than 10am. For these racers, registration opens at 7.30am, and they can set off at any time after 8.30am.
