Race Description

“Always In Motion” is the name given to the not for profit organization that sponsors the Bobbi Jo 5K Memorial Run/Walk. This name was picked by the family of Bobbi Jo in representation of the fact that when she was alive, she never stopped moving. Her father at the inception of the organization, said “She was always in motion…” and it stuck!

Bobbi Jo was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, Aunt, youth coach and one of the most awesome people you’d ever have the fortune to come into your life. She was an outgoing, kind and caring person to all who knew her. Once you met her, you were instantly pulled toward her beautiful spirit and larger-than-life smile.

Always In Motion, in keeping with that spirit, will host the “3rd Annual Bobbi Jo 5K Memorial Run/Walk” on July 21, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. The race location will be at Eyler Recreation Park in Thurmont.

The cause of the organization is to provide two scholarships to a deserving graduating senior boy and girl from Catoctin High School.
