ARCHIVED RACE: Spooky Orienteering Races @ Waddesdon Manor, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom on 21 October 2017

A spooky Halloween themed race with a twist! It’s a race with no set route – you have to find your own way around the course, between a series of spooky checkpoints, using a special map we’ll give you. Chip timing, 3k and 5k courses – ideal for all abilities of runner. Expect hills, mud, and a few scary surprises around your course! Each checkpoint might be on paths, ditches, streams, or hidden behind vegetation. Or maybe in the special graveyard or haunted wood! Be as competitive as you want – run, jog or go at your own pace, there’ll also be shorter courses for juniors too.

Just turn up and enter on the day, any time between 10:00 and 11:30. Courses close at 1pm. Entry fees are just £6 for adults and groups; £2 for solo juniors. Your entry fee includes a special waterproof map to keep as a souvenir plus hire of a timing chip to record your progress at each checkpoint. And we’ll even have chocolate to give away at the finish…

Organised by Thames Valley Orienteering Club and supported by Waddesdon and the National Trust. Parking at Waddesdon Manor, HP18 0JH. The race registration tents will be in the car park – just turn up, lots of help will be available for newcomers.
