Race Description

The God’s Country Marathon, named one of the “top ten toughest” marathons in the United States by Runner’s World Magazine, takes runners from Galeton to Coudersport, Pennsylvania through the majestic Susquehannock State Forest along Route 6 via Denton Hill. The challenge of the marathon is “conquering the hill”, which reaches an elevation of 2424 feet above sea level. A small town race with a beautiful, yet challenging course, God’s Country also offers a half-marathon and relay event. Chip timing and course record challenges are new additions to our 2012 race! Get ready to conquer the hill in 2012!
