Race Description

The Largest Kilt Race attempt will take place on 2 June 2012 as part of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Day Celebrations in Perth, Scotland. The largest kilt race was officially achieved by 1,089 participants at the Perth Kilt Run in Perth, Ontario, Canada, on 26 June 2010.

They then did even better in 2011 when 1,276 people participated in the run. Our friends in Ontario laid down the gauntlet to Perth, Scotland their twinning partner to beat their existing record by 2016 – the 200th anniversary of the founding of Perth, Ontario. What could we do but take up the challenge and ask you to be one of our kilt-wearing runners.
