Race Description

Austin’s PinkStrong Sprint Duathlon Multisport Running EventSay Yes to Adventure in 2023Are You Ready to Do the DU? The PinkStrong Sprint Duathlon multisport race begins with athletes charging BOLDLY up the Lakeway PinkStrong Hill, which leads to a 1.5 mile run on the trail. You will then transition onto the bike and cycle approximately 10 miles on a two loop course with fast flats and punchy short rolling hills, returning to the park you will then move on to complete your final run leg of 2.5 miles.
Are You More of a Runner?The PinkStrong 5K Fun Run course has been designed to be adventurous, with shady paved paths, butterflies gardens, nestled brooks, bumpy hills, secret shady pathways, and a little bit of grass. Prepare for a few climbs and fast descents on all surfaces.

The course starts out uphill for the first 1/4 miles and a fast downhill will put you on a paved trail to complete the run to transition.

Bike Course: The bike course is an approximately 5mile loop on public roads completed 2x. The course has rolling short hills, fast flat stretches and dedicated bike lanes on major roads. BIKE COURSE IS NOT CLOSED TO VEHICLE TRAFFIC. You must use caution and make your own judgement call when turning at each intersection. Police & Volunteers are at the key intersections & turns to ensure you all athletes navigate the course safely.

Course Time Limits
Each athlete will be given an ample *3* hours time limit to complete their event. No woman left behind and course/finish line will remain open till the last athlete crosses. Beginning after the last wave of runners crosses unto the course, there will be a two-hour cut-off time to complete both the first run leg and bike portions of the race. In addition, there will be a three-hour cut-off time to complete the entire race. The cut-off begins once the last wave enters the run course.
