Registration Includes: Chip Timing, Event T-Shirt and GOTR Pre-Race Festival. T-shirts not guaranteed for registrations received after April 15.

Event Timeline:
7:30 a.m. –Registration & Late Packet Pickup Begin

8:15 a.m. –GOTR Participants meet with teammates and coaches

8:45 a.m. – Packet Pick-up and Race Day Registration Closes

9:00 a.m. 5K Event Starts

9:00:-10:30 a.m. Celebration activities for spectators and participants as they finish the 5k!

10:15 a.m. – 5K Award Ceremony

Start & Finish Location:

The race will start and finish just north of the intersection of 13th & Jackson, on the East side of the YWCA located at 225 SW 12th Street. Jackson will be closed to traffic from 14th & Kansas to 12th Street while the course is open.

Parking:

Race participants may park in any YWCA/GreatLife parking lots on the West or South sides of the building. Overflow parking will be in the State lots located between Topeka Blvd and Harrison Streets off Huntoon.

Timing and Results:

Each participant is required to wear their race bib on the FRONT of their body at all times during the race.

Safety:

The course is begins and ends at the YWCA and utilizes the Landon Nature trail. Runners will need to keep right on the trails so that runners returning and Topeka Police Officers will be able to pass. Runners will need to use caution at all times and follow the instructions of Topeka Police Department (TPD) Officers, course marshals and event directors.

TPD will lead the race and runners must not overtake the Officer in charge unless directed to do so. As this is a timed event/competition the use of headphones of any kind is strongly discouraged while on the route. Hearing impairment devices are excluded.

Restrooms:

Restrooms are located outside of the YWCA for use for the event.

Aid Stations:

The Aid Stations on course will provide Water, Gatorade and first aid supplies.

Spectator Instructions:

All spectators are asked to remain off of the course at all times. Spectators are invited to partake in the:

Race Festival – Temporary Tattoes, Friends & Family Booth
Shopping! The YWCA will have a small store during the event where you can purchase merchandise – proceeds benefit our local Girls on the Run council!

Event Proceeds:

All race proceeds directly benefit Girls on the Run of Northeast Kansas. Over a period of 10 weeks, girls in the 3rd through 8th grade participate in an after-school program like no other. Designed to allow every girl to recognize her inner strength, the Girls on the Run curriculum inspires girls to define their lives on their own terms. Throughout the season, the girls make new friends, build their inner confidence and celebrate all that makes them unique.
