Race Description

The race takes teams of runners an unprecedented 160 miles from Twickenham stadium in London, across beautiful countryside, canals cyclepaths and country lanes over the Severn bridge and down through Wales to Millennium stadium in Cardiff.

Runners on average only run two 10k throughout the race- so why is it such a challenge?

The race combines strategy alongside individual effort and a huge team work component. Teams start together complying the first mile as a team, as well and the middle and last mile together. Teams must decide which runners complete which of the individual legs. These vary from 3 to 13 miles. Some have very simple navigation, running on clear footpaths during daylight and others involve difficult town navigation, running in the dark, running through woods, on a mix if off road and on road terrain. Teams must decide not just who runs which leg, but which vehicle that runner is in, who is eating and when, who is sleeping, who is navigating for the team member driving their minibus and cars.

Event schedule and times
Starts Twickenham stadium on the Friday night with teams leaving at their own specific given time. Teams relay against each other throughout the night and across the English countryside. Crossing into Wales in the Saturday afternoon and arriving in Millennium stadium in Cardiff on Saturday evening. Event closes by midnight.
