Race Description

The City of York Triathlon returns to York Sport Village and the 2015 UK Triathlon Race Series after a hugely successful first year.

This joint initiative with York Sport inspired entrants of all abilities to take on the challenge of swim, bike and run in and around The University of York & York Sport Village in 2014 and looks set to become a huge event on the York sporting calendar. With 2 distances to choose from and the option to enter as an individual or relay team of three, the triathlon starts with a swim in the heated indoor pool, follows on with a flat multi-lapped bike course and finishes with a run. This spectator friendly venue is perfect for crowds to cheer on competitors and create a fun & relaxed atmosphere so, whether participating or supporting, get colleagues, friends and family involved and be a part of this exciting new event.

Located on the university’s safe and attractive Heslington campus close to York city centre
Leisure complex pool based swim
Fast and flat cycle and run route
Swim start, transition & finish line all within close proximity
2015 finishers medal awarded at the finish line
Official Race T-shirts available to pre-order for just £9.95 when you register & enter online
There are prizes in all events for both race position and age group winners, with the exception of the Fun distance, which like it says is purely for fun!
